Oundle School and Society

Oundle is one of the largest independent schools in the country. It is situated near Peterborough, and has a long history, growing dramatically and dynamically since its foundation in 1556.

Brief
When Oundle started work on creating a distinctive, new centre for the Sciences, Art, Design and Technology, SciTec; they required a website to illustrate the progress and to also raise awareness and funding. SciTec will be a living, working resource that will be the envy of school science departments across the country.

Oundle also want to establish an online Alumnus to reunite ex pupils and act as an effective means of fund raising and staying in touch.

Oundle School didn't want to incur costly update costs and so required a solution that enabled them to retain autonomy of their website.

Solutions
Momo worked with Oundle to create a website that illustrates progress with the SciTec project, the overall look and feel had to support the high standard of the building project, reinforcing the schools excellent reputation.

Establishing an ex pupils' website using Alumni247 tools created a forum to raise the profile of projects and gave the school a way to effectively communicate and raise funds.

Oundle websites were built using Shift CMS, the content management system is simple to use and keeps update costs and times to a minimum.

Results
The dynamic duo of effective regular contact with ex pupils and a robust micro site gives marketing strategies a one-two punch. By strategically using this duo, Oundle created greater project awareness, better relationships, and commitment to advances at the school.
 
Ex pupils now have a simple and effective method of staying in touch with each other and the school has a channel to raise funding for projects.
 
Costs of keeping the website up to date are kept at a minimum by using fully supported Shift CMS tools.
We have subsequently designed and built a 'friends reunited' style website for Oundle Society, this lets ex-pupils stay in touch and contribute to the school.
